In loving memory of

Alex Wicka
February 23, 1983 - September 2, 2018

Alexander Nathan Ross Wicka, 35 of Winona, died unexpectedly due to complications of surgery on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Winona Health.
Alex was born February 23, 1983 in Winona to Charles and Vicki (Stoutenberg) Wicka. He graduated from Cotter High School in 2001. Alex worked for many years at Boelter's and most recently was working for the Pane Shop, Wicka Concrete and Florian's Maintenance. He married Caitlin Jirele and together they had a wonderful son, Clay. They later divorced. Clay was the light of Alex's life and there wasn't anything Alex wouldn't do for his son.
Alex loved being active - softball, volleyball, running and hiking were just a few of his favorites. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and especially his nieces and nephews whom he adored.
Alex is survived by his brothers and sisters, Tammy Wicka-Evenson, Ted (Ellen) Wallerstedt, Jeannie McCormick, Rick (Kim) Wicka, Chris (Casey) Wicka, Shelly Paffrath, Bruce Callsen and Charles Wicka; his mother, Vicki Wicka; maternal grandmother, Grace Siebrass; nieces and nephews, Spencer Hodge, Abby Wicka, Journey Walters, Allison Walters, Autumn Wicka, Ashden Wicka, Cora Wicka, Caleb Bennett, Sammi Brandes, Trinity Wicka, Sebastian Evenson, Harley Bolstad (Alysia), Angel McCormick (Eric), Roger Wallerstedt, Derrick Wallerstedt, Britta Wallerstedt (Juan), Ben Wallerstedt (Arielle), Ted Wallerstedt, Samantha Gady, Jenna Wineski, Nina Paffrath, Brianna Callsen, Charlie Wicka and Alex's girlfriend, Michelle Schammel.
Alex was greeted in heaven by his son, Clay; his father, Charles Wicka; maternal grandfather, Hersch Siebrass and Harley Walters who was like a dad to Alex.
Memorial Service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center - Goodview, led by Funeral Celebrant Jenny Hoff. Visitation will be 10 a.m., until the time of the service.
