"I have known Danno for 25 years. He is a great person and friend. He would do anything he could for anybody. I have many memories and stories that I will cherish forever. You are very missed. I hope you know that ??"
Daniel John Clark passed away in his sleep on Sept. 1, 2018, in Redmond, Washington, after a short illness. He was born May 3, 1966. He was the son of Wilson and Betty Clark, lovingly adopted at the age of 8 months from the Northern Cheyenne tribe. He was raised in Billings, Montana, where he was on the swim team, ran track, and played the trombone. He loved camping and hiking in Banff National Park in Canada, and continued his love for the outdoors and camping for many years.
As an adult, he went to live in the Seattle area. He became certified as a Central Processing Technician and worked in various hospitals making sure that surgical instruments were sterile and available for complex surgeries. He liked Seattle a lot, and made a lot of friends over the years. His special love was blues music, which he was able to enjoy in many venues in the city. He had a heart for the homeless, often sharing his food with others. He loved to go watch the kids play baseball at Peter Kirk Park. At one point, he helped start "Beer Church", a charity that raises funds for children in need. For many years, he was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Kirkland where he made many friends and loved to play pool. In the last few years before his health declined, he trained in caregiving with special skills in feeding techniques for the disabled.
In his later years, he began having serious health issues, and was unable to work steadily. The family is very grateful to Carol Soukup for her loving support of Dan in those years. She brought much joy and support to him for which he often expressed his gratitude.
Dan was a very loving person and had a wonderful personality. He was warmhearted and jovial and he thought success was getting people to laugh. He is survived by his three sisters, Linda Graham, Nancy Fowler, and Josie Wong.
There will be a memorial service for Daniel (Danno) on Saturday September 29, at the Eagles Club, 258 Central Way, Kirkland, Washington, from 3-8pm. Please feel welcome to come celebrate his life.
