James Otis Gross, 80, of Winona, passed away, Monday, September 10, 2018 at St. Michael's Assisted Living in Fountain City. He was born on March 13, 1938 in Pickwick to Albion "Otis" and Merle (Harvey) Gross. James is survived by his sister, Arlis Ellinghuysen; nieces and nephews, Richard (Pam) Ellinghuysen, Sherrie Ellinghuysen, Faith Ellinghuysen, Holly (Nate) Fredrickson, Vicki (Joe) Wineski, Devin (Kristin) Ellinghuysen, and Becky Gross-Rayfield; and many great-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Merle; and his brother David Gross. Private family services will be held.
