"Deb and I went to high school together in the Class of '72. We would only see each other at the reunions but it was like we were never apart and still only days out of high school. She was always cheerful and was a great inspiration to all who knew her. Earth is short one angel as Heaven has another. God Bless your family."

"Muriel and Grace, I'm sorry to hear about your loss of your sister Debra. I was also saddened to learn of your brother Lynn's passing a few years back and your father not long ago. (I had moved out of state and lost touch with most of you). Yet somehow the Fillmore County circle finds a way and I had the pleasure of being at Mayo High School where your niece graduated last year. I saw her name and immediately knew where her roots were from. I let her know that I had a deep respect for the Vomhof family...all good and decent people. God's peace to the both or you and the family."

"Her sister, Dawn, and I went through elementary school together. I spent many wonderful hours out at their farm playing with the older children, including Deb. Recently, we have been friends on Facebook. She will be missed by many, but only for a time, only until we are all reunited with our friends and loved ones. See you later, Deb."

"We at Samaritan Bethany cared for Deb's father before he passed back in February of this year . Deb would often come to see him and she would walk in with a huge smile and express her gratitude to ALL of us for the cares we were providing. She came one day after her father's passing with flowers for us in his honor and to flash that gorgeous smile one last time for us all to see. Thanks, Deb for the gift you were and for the example you will continue to be. To Deb's family, We at Samaritan Bethany want to express our deepest sympathies for this great loss. May God fill you with the peace he promises. Fondly, Jeanne Walentiny and the staff on 6th Neighborhood "

"Started at Methodist in 1984. We had a great group of people that were not only coworkers, but friends. Within the past year, I was playing music at a local venue when I saw her bright smile across the room. We were able to share a conversation that left me uplifted, positive, and grateful! Later, as I was playing a song, she waved and flashed a smile on her way out. Kevin Kleist (Methodist co-worker)"
