Judy I. Hill, 64, of Fort Dodge passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Fort Dodge Health and Rehabilitation.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the White House in Des Moines, Iowa. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family.
She is survived by her children, Abbie Hill of Des Moines; Amee Miller (Andy Jass) of Alden; step-children, Jeff Hill of Des Moines; Julie VanderVorst (Jason) of Clive; 8 grandchildren, Ashlee Marshall, Emma and Anya Miller all of Alden; Alyssa, Evan, Lillian VanderVorst all of Clive; Joseph and Justice Foster both of Des Moines
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Stimpson; brother, Walter and sister, Mary Jane Stimpson.
Judy Irene Stimpson was born January 30, 1954 in Trenton, Missouri. Judy graduated from Prairie City Monroe High School and then attended Indian Hills College in Ottumwa, where she received her AA Degree. In 1977, Judy married Walter Hill. The couple later divorced. She received her BA Degree from Buena Vista University and Upper Iowa University in Human Services. Judy worked was a substance abuse counselor for nearly all her career. For 33 years Judy was a friend of Dr. Bob and Bill W. She enjoyed reading, cooking and socializing with friends.
