"Glen was our mail carrier for many years. One of my fondest memories of my childhood was waiting for the mailman to deliver our mail so that I could run out and say, "Hi". He was always willing to stop for a minute to talk to a little girl with pigtails! "

"Over 40 years ago I had the pleasure of having "Mr. C" as a scout master. The life lessons he taught us as young scouts still guide me today. At the end of our troop meetings we would recite a verse I still remember to this day: "May the great scout master of all scouts be with us until we meet again". I have no doubt that Mr. C is now with that great scout master. Rest in peace Mr. C. Randy Current"

"I need to add to my wife?s comments. I was very fortunate to have lived next door to the Crawford?s for a time that was very difficult in my life. My parents had just got a divorce because of my fathers alcoholism. This was the early 60?s, atime when divorce was not very socially excepted. Glen and his family were so very kind to my mother and I. I do not believe I ever saw him that he did not have a smile and a kind word. I was a very shy introverted kid, so that smile and kind word met the world to me. I do not believe he ever realized what an impact he had on my life and I am sure many , many more. Thank You Moose, May you Rest In Peace with the Lord! So sorry for your loss Joan, Dave and family. The world was a better place due to Moose. We need more men like him in this world of today!!"

"All of the previous posts are touching and reflect the impact Mr Crawford had for our community. His wide smile and genuine interest in others made him the Pied Piper of Maquoketa in sharing and spreading good news and ALWAYS a positive attitude. He was always doing something for others and the community. We need to clone his passion for positivity and community involvement The world was a better place by having Mr Myatt in it. May he Rest In Peace that is well deserved. My sympathy to his family and all those who loved him. "

"Glen was my scout leader in the 1970s. His love of the outdoors & his devotion to the Boy Scouts was amazing. He made our scout activities such a great pleasure. He taught us many things about scouting and life. The canoe trips he took us on were unbelievable, all these young boys full of energy and mischief yet he was patience. I know he had quite a few boys earn the rank of Eagle Scout including myself. I know he is enjoying the wonders of the outdoors in heaven. God Bless Moose."

He was a great asset to the community and will be missed by many."
