Louise Elizabeth Buseman
January 11, 1935 - September 25, 2018

Louise Elizabeth Buseman, 83, of Dumont, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. She was born on January 11, 1935, in Dumont, to Carl and Anna (Hearn) Freese.

Louise was baptized March 8, 1935, at Salem Evangelical Church in Dumont at the celebration of the 25th wedding anniversary of Grandparents Freese. She joined Salem Evangelical Church on April 14, 1946. Louise was united in marriage to Norman Buseman on January 30, 1954, in Nashua. She transferred to Bethel Reformed in Aplington and then to Dumont Reformed Church in Dumont.

Louise worked at various places throughout her life including, Franklin County Treasurer's Office, Butler County Extension Office, Bristow Locker, Bob's True Value Hardware, Allison Health Care Center, Linda's, M & G Décor and at Dumont Wellness Center as a CNA.

She enjoyed embroidering, crocheting and reading. Louise cherished her memories fishing with her husband Norman in Canada and spending time with her family at the pond on their farm. She was a member of the Dumont Reformed Church and the RCW. Louise previously taught Sunday school, Catechism and Bible school, and was once part of the Band Parents and the PTA.

Louise is survived by her daughter Dixie (Scott) Krause of Tucson, Arizona, daughter Mona (Gene) Storm of Waterloo, son Les Buseman of Dumont, daughter Teresa (Darwin) Butson of Hampton, daughter Valerie (Jay) Harmon of Roland, grandchildren Justin and Missy, Travis and Heather, Lacey and Greg, Beth, Ryan, Jesse, Brandy and Travis, Abby and Andy, Connor, Sam, Preston and Amy, Chantell, Caleb, great-grandchildren Logan, Addison, Brooklyn, Jace, Jaxson, Linzee, Stella, and special person Trinity Swart, sister Nadine (Allan) Popinga, sister Carolyn (Dan) Dodd, sister-in-law Lila Groeneveld, brother-in-law Harold (Ruth) Buseman, brother-in-law Alvin (Peg) Buseman.

She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Anna, husband Norman, grandson Levi, grandson Carrington, great-grandson Aiden, great-grandson Royal and brother-in-law Henry Groeneveld.

Memorials may be directed to Dumont Reformed Church, Davita Cedar Valley Dialysis Center, Waverly or the Carrington Baker Laker Life Scholoarship at Iowa Lakes Community College.
