Nancy I. Carey, 74, of South Sioux City, NE passed away at a local hospital on Tuesday, September 25, 2018.
Memorial services will be at 4:00 P.M. on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Visitation will begin at 2:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
Nancy was born on July 16, 1944 in Sioux City, IA, the daughter of Stella (Border) Underwood. She graduated with the last graduating class from Dakota City in 1962. Nancy worked at Zenith until they closed, then as a cook at Regency Square Care Center for many years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing, and making people happy. She also loved to cook.
Survivors include her special friend of 50 years, Willard Hattig; a daughter, Pam Carey (Richard Germek); son, Bill Carey; 2 granddaughters, Amie (Marques) (Carey) Morales and Katie Germek; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Rosemary Bishop; and niece, Juliee Bishop.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Stella Underwood; and her grandparents.
