Charles Ullman
November 6, 1934 - September 27, 2018

Charles Ullman, of Deerbrook, died Thursday, September 27, 2018, at Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. He was 83 years old. He was born on November 6, 1934, in the town of Peck, a son of Benjamin and Della (Zinkle) Ullman. He married Melda Schuman on November 5, 1960, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Polar. She survives.

He served in the United States Army from April 1957 to January 1959, followed by several years in the Army Reserves.

Charlie was a lifelong milk hauler who enjoyed woodworking, knitting hats, playing cards, gardening, planting trees and feeding the birds - especially Jerry the partridge.

Survivors including his wife are one daughter, Kathy Ullman, Sheboygan; three sons, Robert Ullman, William Ullman, Herbert Ullman and Maggie, all of Deerbrook;

two grandsons Benjamin and Ashley, Ryan and Stephanie; four great-grandchildren Kylee, Nathan, Mason, Natalia;

seven sisters, Frances Schuman, Polar, Mary Rose Minten, Waupaca, Betty Wright, Illinois, Bridget Berg, Aniwa, Edith Laridean, Reedsberg, Clara Rosenbourrgh, Deerbrook, Susan Jacobs, Gleason; four brothers, Gust (Joyce) Ullman, Deerbrook, Julius Ullman, Deerbrook, Frank (Gail) Ullman, Antigo, Donald (Laurie) Ullman, Antigo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Grace and Maggie; three brothers, Jerry in infancy, James and David Ullman.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Chaplain Wayne Schwanke from Wisconsin Veterans Home officiating. Burial will take place in Forestview Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.

Visitation will be 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at the Bradley Funeral Home and on Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of services.
