Carl Lundvall, 74 of Red Oak, IA, passed away at his home on October 5, 2018. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Malvern, IA. Open visitation at the funeral home will be held prior to the service, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the East Liberty Cemetery north of Malvern.

Carl Lee Lundvall, one of eight children of Robert and Betty (Derby) Lundvall, was born on May 8, 1944. He grew up in the Wapello / Burlington, Iowa area where he attended school. Carl resided on a farm north of Malvern, Iowa for 30+ years and retired from Hawkins Construction as a machinery operator.

Carl and Judy Ann Taladay were united in marriage on October 18, 2008 in Malvern. They moved from their farm to live in Red Oak, Iowa in 2016.

Carl was a member of the Coon Hunters Association. He enjoyed collecting tractors, attending area auctions, raising livestock, and coon hunting. He loves spending time with his family and friends.

Carl passed away from cancer of the colon and liver on October 5, 2018 in Red Oak, at the age of 74 yeas, 4 months, and 27 days. He was preceded in death by his father; and brothers, Tommy Joe and Keith.

Carl is survived by his wife Judy Lundvall of Red Oak; mother Betty Lundvall of Glenwood, IA; children, Lisa (Ivan) Green of Omaha, NE, Mike Lundvall of Malvern, Patty (Larry) Dalton of Council Bluffs, IA, John Hammers, Jr. of Council Bluffs, Chris (Kelly) Hammers of Des Moines, IA, Norma Hammers of Council Bluffs, and Charlie (Katie) Pevehouse of Rochester, MN; nine grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Jim (Judy) Lundvall of Pacific Junction, IA, Bill (Barb) Lundvall of Malvern, Jane (Charlie) Steffensmeier of Burlington, IA, Linda (John) Fisher of Texas, and Bruce (Phyllis) Lundvall of Missouri; other relatives and a host of special friends.
