In loving memory of

Ruth Clark Morrison
August 30, 1924 - October 5, 2018

Ruth Clark Morrison, of Bellevue, WA, passed peacefully on Friday, October 5th, 2018 from complications of congestive heart failure.

Ruth was born to Roy Clark and Marie Alfrey Clark on August 30, 1924 in Sheridan, OR and spent her formative years in Philomath and Corvallis, OR. She graduated from Corvallis High School in 1942 and continued on to Oregon State. At the beginning of her third year there she moved to Seattle to work in the Boeing plant as a stenographer. She enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1945 and served honorably in Washington D.C. as Seaman First Class, beginning in the mess hall at the West Potomac Park WAVE barracks then in the Judge Advocate General's Office doing clerical work.
She married Kenneth Morrison in 1945 and they moved to Southern California. Together they raised four children. After her husband's retirement they spent several years in Ashland, OR, then Corvallis, OR and finally in Bellevue, WA. Her love for family was strong, involving herself in the activities and education of her children and grandchildren.
She was very proud of her heritage and became a member of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Her interest in genealogy facilitated that effort and was educational for the entire family. She was an avid reader, interested in both history and especially current events.
She is survived by three children: Charlotte Morrison, Jay Morrison (Lisa), Andrea Morrison Sharp (Aaron). She also leaves six grandchildren, Jessica Morrison, Ian Morrison, Patrick Morrison, Kyle Morrison, Chandler Sharp and Karey Sharp.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth and her son Donald along with her brother Cecil, sister Edna and brother Robert (Bobby).
No funeral arrangements are planned. The family wishes to thank the staff at Patriot's Glen Assisted Living in Bellevue, WA for all the care she received during the last years of her life.
