Harriet M. Freesemann, 80, of Allison, Iowa passed away, Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton in Hampton, Iowa. She was born May 1, 1938, in Allison, Iowa, to Ed and Jennie (Lursen) Heyenga.

Harriet graduated from Allison High School in Allison, Iowa, in 1956. She married Robert L. Freesemann on August 1, 1956, in Allison, Iowa. She worked as a homemaker, raising her five children. Harriet was a lifetime member of the Trinity Reformed Church in Allison, where she was active in many church groups. She enjoyed cooking, singing, scrapbooking, collecting Ladybug memorabilia and collecting cookbooks.

Harriet is survived by her husband Robert L. Freesemann of Allison, son Grant (LeAnne) Freesemann of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, son Clark (Shayne) Freesemann of Greene, son Clint (Tara) Freesemann of Hampton, daughter Ranae (Matt) Boomgarden of Marine on St. Croix, Minnesota, son Collin (Tina) Freesemann of Greene, grandchildren Tilon (Becky) Freesemann, Kyle (Stephanie) Freesemann, Erica (Nick Folbrecht) Freesemann, Jenava (Sean) Ostrander, Josiah (Gabrielle Pepin) Freesemann, Logan Boomgarden, Haley Freesemann, Hayden Freesemann, Brandon (Stephanie) Bealer, Stephen Schoning, great-grandchildren Beckham Freesemann, Lydia Freesemann, Lily Folbrecht and brother Karl (Joyce) Heyenga of Allison.

Harriet was preceded in death by her parents Ed and Jennie, brothers and sisters, Caroline, Grace, John, Ed, Lydia, Frieda, Joselene and Esther.
