"May God bless the Longott family at this sad time. Olivia and Bro, I know how family oriented you guys are. Continue to be strong for your dad. I am praying for you guys and love you guys greatly! Love Tionna Smalls & Family!"
On August 23, 1944 , an earth angel was born to Celeste Robertson & Alfred Jenkins in Kingston Jamaica. They named her Lorna May.
A beautifully poised young lady who always took pride in her appearance and was admired by her peers and respected by all.
Lorna attended Stratford High school in Jamaica. After graduating, she went on to teach Accounting and Stenography at the same school. She then moved on and started working in the Shipping industry up until she immigrated to the United States in 1974. This is where she met her husband Veron Longott. They were married on March 11, 1978. Their union brought forth two lovely children, Christopher and Olivia. Lorna did everything in her power to make sure their kids had all they needed.
Lorna was a very spiritual woman of God and attended Church and Bible study religiously. She flourished at singing in the choir and was on any church committee that needed assistance. She was a helper and a giver.
Lorna worked for a reputable real estate company in Great Neck, Long Island NY for approximately 20 years. She loved to laugh and enjoyed life. Her smile and charm would light up a room. And if you ever had the pleasure of meeting her, it only took one second for her to light up your life. She had so much light that our earth angel was taken home to be at peace with her Lord and Savior on October 9, 2018.
Lorna is survived by her husband and soul mate Veron Longott, two children Christopher and Olivia and two grandchildren, Aria and Jasmine. She is also survived by brother Robert, and 4 sisters, Betty, Barbara,Julia and Dorothy. In addition to several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Beloved Mother and Wife. Rest with the angels as you were our angel here on earth.
