Roy G. Alsdorf, Sr.
March 24, 1928 - October 16, 2018

Roy G. Alsdorf, Sr., 90, of Kingston, NY, passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2018. He was born on March 24, 1928 in Goshen, NY, the son of the late George Alsdorf and Mabel (Van Etten) Alsdorf.

Roy served in the US Army during the Korean War. He later worked for IBM in Kingston & Poughkeepsie where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club. Roy was a founding member of the Spring Lake Fire Department. He was a proud member of the Northwestern Hole-In-One Club, having received this achievement on June 3, 1984. He bowled every week of his life until his 80's and enjoyed golfing into his 80's as well.

Roy is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joan (Korth) Alsdorf, his children, Susan Rueff and her husband Larry, Sharon Kelly and her husband Roger, and Roy G. Alsdorf, Jr., his grandchildren, Kendra Kelly, Chelsea Rueff, Alex Rueff, Kevin Kelly, DJ Walsh, Emily Walsh, Michelle Rueff, Heather Rueff, and Melissa Rueff, his sister, Laura Crepeau and her husband Tom, as well as several nieces, nephews, and her 'adopted' family in Sweden; Maria Magnerfelt and, Jenny, Adam, and Emma DeLaura. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his daughter, Sandra Lynn Walsh.

Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Sunday October 21, from 2pm to 5pm and Monday October 22, from 10:30am to 11am with the funeral service starting at 11am.
