Kenneth Van Pelt, 86, passed away on October 18, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood, IA. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. one hour prior to the service. Private family interment will be held. Loess Hills Funeral Home of Glenwood in charge of arrangements.

Kenneth Burton Van Pelt, one of five children of Harold and Dorothy (Grove) Van Pelt, was born on March 2, 1932 in Ogden, Iowa. He graduated from Ogden High School and worked for Roberts Dairy and Meadow Gold Dairy until retirement.
Kenneth married Shirley Leitchliter in 1950 and they were blessed with six children, Gloria, Tim, Tammy, Kellie, Lori, and Diann.
Kenneth enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Kenneth passed away on October 18, 2018 at his home in Council Bluffs, Iowa at the age of 86 years, 7 months, and 16 days. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Keith Van Pelt and Harold Van Pelt.
Kenneth is survived by his children, Gloria Bliss (Denny) of Council Bluffs, Tim Van Pelt (Mona) of Rogers, AR, Tammy Hathaway (Robert) of Council Bluffs, Kellie Drennen (Jim) of Rogers, Lori Garner (Robin) of Plattsmouth, NE, and Diann Bingham (Mike) of Malvern, IA; 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; brother Everett Van Pelt (Ilene); sister Darlene Pitt (Stan); and many friends.
