In loving memory of

Diane Davidson
November 16, 1944 - October 17, 2018

On November 16, 1944, Ross Wesley and Doris Deane (DeWitt) Sandquist welcomed their first daughter, Diane Marie. Diane was later joined by siblings Dale, Darlene and Debbie. The family lived on a farm near Elliott before moving to Emerson in 1957. Diane graduated from Nishna Valley High School in 1962. Following graduation she worked for Thomas D. Murphy Calendar Company in Red Oak.

On September 8, 1963 Diane was united in marriage to Vince Davidson. To this union sons Jeff and Joel were born and a daughter who was stillborn. Diane and her family moved to Dayton, Wyoming in 1979 and later to Sheridan, Wyoming in 1984. After moving to Wyoming she began work at Sheridan County Fullmer Public Library. She retired from that much loved career on December 31, 2007. In 2013 she moved to Shenandoah to be closer to family.

Diane was an outstanding athlete in high school. She was an avid sports fan and followed the activities of her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and their children. You could probably find her on any given night watching her Kansas City Royals or Chiefs, Creighton Blue Jays and she loved her Shenandoah Mustangs and Fillies. She had recently been attending the Shenandoah First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, son Jeff and infant granddaughter Camryn. Those left to cherish her memory include her son Joel Davidson of Berthoud, CO, brother Dale (Pam) Sandquist of Urbandale, IA, sisters Darlene (Denny) Howard of Shenandoah, IA and Deb (Gary) Lehmer of Omaha, NE, grandchildren Sydney, Maysa and Tucker Davidson of Texas and Felicia, Logan, Anndee and Darin Davidson of Colorado, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She will be missed by many.

Diane entered into eternal peace with her family by her side on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 in Omaha, Nebraska.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Shenandoah.

Memorials may be directed to the Shenandoah Athletic Booster Club.
