"Gloria and I were highs school friends. Our husbands were in the military at the same time and we were pregnant with our first child at the same time. Gloria and I seemed to touch base frequently. I visited her in Iowa City and she would visit me in Cedar Rapids. I will always remember seeing her on TV debating politics with Jim Leach. I also saw her articles in an Iowa City Paper concerning her trip to Washington DC. I could go on but if you knew her,you would know that she read everything and traveled and loved her children and grandchildren. I recently got to see her and was sad that she had medical problems.
