Joseph Cean Vernet , 95 of Leogan, Haiti, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018, in Hollywood, Florida.
Joseph was born in Leogan, Haiti, on July 1, 1923. He went to school at Kay Frere of Leogan, Haiti. He was a 12-year member of The Body Of Christ International Church, where he was the eldest member of the church.
Joseph is preceded in death by the mother of his children, Lemanie Duperrier; and daughters Teonie , Kokot , Nortreda , Marilyn and Joclyne; his second son Prosper Vernet; and his wife Reba Vernet, who passed away earlier this year.
Joseph is survived by his children: Guerrier and wife Marie Vernet; Prosper Vernet, Monique Vernet Desravines and husband Francois Joseph Desravines; Joseph O.Vernet and wife Maricile Poucely, 3rd: Sisters/Brothers Josseline vernet, Josseline vernet yes 2 , Gaspart Vernet , Lucien Vernet, Roger Vernet , and Ernest Vernet, Nobert Vernet 5th: Grandchildren Nahomie Vernet , Degaule Vernet , Marie Semie Vernet , Guènel Vernet , Bodhreal Desravines , Marie Georgia Desravines, Valdanio Vernet , Casseland Vernet , Rose Martine Vernet , Fabienne Vernet , Maryse Vernet, Marie Vernet and, 6th: Great grandchildren Stephanie Joseph , Ritchie Joseph, Junior Sainvilus, Degaul Fils Sainvilus, Jemima Vernet, Jayden Vernet , Farrah Francois , Callen Vernal , Selyne and William Pointdujour, Jèrèmie, Anthony, Nana and Nathael Vernet.
Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Fred Hunter Funeral Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, FL 33024.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the funeral home, with Pastor Benjamin Joseph of The Body Of Christ International Church officiating. Burial will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens East. Arrangements entrusted to Fred Hunter Funeral Home.
