Mary V Pogemiller

Mary V. Pogemiller, 97, of Burlington, died Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington, IA.
Born September 16, 1921 in Burlington, IA, she was the daughter of Raymond and Mary (McKinney) Wisener. She married Homer E. Pogemiller on May 4, 1940 in Kahoka, MO. He preceded her in death on July 21, 2000.
Mary graduated from Burlington High School. She worked in quality control at JRC/TRW for 20 years until her retirement in 1983.
She was a member of Parkside First Baptist Church, Eagles Aerie #150 and the Burlington Senior Center. She had numerous hobbies including playing Bingo and cards, fishing, dancing, reading newspapers, cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals and especially spending time with family.
Survivors include four children, Patricia (Richard) Wolters of Indianapolis, IN, Rae Nell (Steve) Spencer of Oreana, IL, Dana (Linda) Pogemiller of Burlington, and Candace (John) Jordan of Noblesville, IN; eleven grandchildren; Scott (Cristie) Wolters, Christopher (Shirley) Wolters, Jeffrey (Sue) Spencer, Sara (Robert) Lewis, Todd (Diane) Spencer, Michael (Annette) Spencer, Krista (Jim) Greene, J.D. Jordan, Zachary (Valerie) Pogemiller, Jacob (Jessica) Jordan and Joel Pogemiller; 21 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Nellie Dodge and brother Johnny Wisener.
The funeral service for Mrs. Pogemiller will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 27th at Parkside First Baptist Church, 300 Potter Drive, Burlington. The Rev. Simon McBride will officiate. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
A memorial has been established for Parkside First Baptist Church, 300 Potter Drive, Burlington, Iowa 52601.

"My Sympathy to all of the family. I am very sorry I am unable to see all of you. I remember the good times we all had in Florida and if you all remember Dick & I had the "Boos Van" full of Beer!...
