"My deepest sympathy goes out to all of you. I have a lot of great memories of our childhood together and there is defiantly not enough room to mention them all. One of the very many memories, that I still have scars from, is when Nick, Valarie, Kristen, Jody and I all went bike riding down the dead-end road toward Gentryâ??s. There are a couple of big hills on that road and for some reason; I was given the bike with no brakes. So, needless to say I wrecked going down the hill and ate a bunch of gravel. Nick being the thinker rode home as fast as he could to get his Mom â?? we did not realize this at first. So, us girls were trying to figure out where we should walk to use a phone, the Gentryâ??s or the hog farm. After going to both places and not finding anyone there, we finally gave up and were just going to walk back to the Millerâ??s, when Debbie came down the road in the van. Thank goodness Nick thought to go get help because Iâ??m not sure how I could have made it home. Once again, Iâ??m so very sorry for your loss. "

Will keep you all in my prayers and hope the memories you all have of Nic will sustain you in the days ahead. May God give you comfort and heal your hearts. "

"My heartfelt condolences go out to Nick's family. I grew up with Nick and remember him fondly. We went to school together & I spent a lot of time at his house when we were youngsters. I remember Nick as a good friend and a good person with an adventurous spirit! I remember root beer floats at his grandparents house and being boys on the farm. He always had a smile on his face and I will remember him like that. He will be missed by many, so very sorry for the family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers."

"Nick was a great dancer. He was so loved by many, and had a way of making kids crazy about him. He will be missed."

Darrell Thompson wrote on Mar 16, 2011:

"Nick had a real knack for being critical of new and/or changed methods, processes, etc. but in a very positive way. His criticisms nearly always included at least one suggestion for making the "new" even better. Nick's passion for his daily activities at work obviously challenged those around him to also become more passionate about their responsibilities. Nick has left a void at Quality Plus Feeds but his influence will be felt for a lifetime by those remaining."
