Daniel Grant
March 12, 1941 - October 27, 2018

Daniel A. Grant 77, of Winona, MN passed away peacefully in his home Saturday October 27th 2018 surrounded by his family. Dan was born in El Paso, WI to Patrick Henry and Thelma Grant. Dan was born into a large family. In 1980 Dan married Kay Lee Mandelkow and they later divorced Kay. In 1998 Dan met Carol Johnson and in September of 2000 they married. Dan was a truck driver for many years and drove truck for numerous trucking companies before he finally had to retire due to health reasons. He loved to read, listen to music and spend time with his grandchildren. Dan was a diehard Vikings fan. If the game was on he was watching it, and shame on you if you got in the way. Dan is survived by his wife, Carol Grant of Winona, MN; daughter, Jessica (Casey); son, Matthew (Kimber); step-children, Robert (Staci), Scott (Rachel), Bridget (Rick), Kevin (Jess), Heather (Tom), and Billy (Nichole); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia J. Collins and Diane Grant; brothers-in-law, Lloyd and Richard (Wanda); sisters-in-law, Phyllis, Joyce (Larry) and Susan (Jack) and many nieces and nephews. Dan was preceded in death by his parents; twin sister, Dora; sisters, Joyce, Elaine, and Madeleine; brothers Johnny, Richard, and Thomas; step-daughter, Theresa; daughter-in-law, Stacy; grandchildren, Damian, Kelly, Marya and infant twin grandsons; great-grandsons, Zach & Taylor. Dan will be missed terribly.
Services to remember Dan will be held at 6 p.m., Friday, November 2, 2018 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center-Goodview. Military Honors will be performed at 6 p.m. by the VFW Post 1287 followed by a time of sharing.
