Martin H. "Marty" Kopec, age 77, of the Bayville section of Berkeley Township died on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at home. Born in Long Branch, he grew up in Freehold and lived in Wayne and West Paterson for most of his life before moving to Bayville 5 years ago.
Mr. Kopec served in the US Air Force, and prior to his retirement in 2013, was employed by Star Stainless Screw Company, Totowa, for over 30 years. He was a member of the Lacey Elks Lodge.
Predeceased by his parents, Frank and Eva Kopec, he is survived by his siblings, Mary Hons, Frank Kopec, Sophia Zike, Rose Garland, and Charles Kopec; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 at Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River, with funeral services at 8:30pm . Cremation will be private.
