Mariann E. Burrell age 74 of Baldwin Iowa died on Thursday morning March 242005.0 at the home of her daughter Donna McClenney in Tinley Park Illinois.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday March 292005.0 from the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa Iowa with Chaplain/Celebrant Rev. Ruth Ann Scott of Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 P.M. Until 2:30 P.M. Service Time on Tuesday March 292005.0 from the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa. Burial will be in the Pence Cemetery rural Baldwin Iowa.
Mariann E. Scott was born on April 3 1930 in Jackson County Iowa to Lewis C. Scott Sr. and Ida Mae (Houle) Scott. She was a graduate of Baldwin High School and had attended Junior College. She married Frank Burrell. They divorced.
Mariann has had many jobs over the years including: managing a snack bar in retail stores working as a waitress working at a care facility for the elderly and working at Pacific Coast Feather Company in Maquoketa Iowa.
Mariann enjoyed so much being in nature...in her garden growing vegetables for canning and perfecting her flowers as well as feeding and watching the birds. She also enjoyed crafts knitting and crocheting. Mariann her friends and sisters have produced many a warm blanket to wrap around others.
Mariann has been present for so many in her family both when healthy and ill and had a generous heart for giving her time to help in any capacity. She had been staying with daughter Donna McClenney in Illinois on and off since December of 2004.
Mariann is survived by: 2 daughters- Donna McClenney(& fianc√ö- Jim LoPiccolo) of Tinley Park IL & Lisa Rowe(& partner- Jennifer Nelson) of Edina MN; 4 grandchildren- Dale Sr. ( & his wife- Gail) Ellen (& her husband- Dean) Madeleine & Graham; & 3 great-grandchildren- Dale Jr. Brianna & Amber; 2 brothers- Dale(Lou Jean) Scott of Maquoketa IA & Larry(Rose) Scott of Anchorage AK; 2 sisters- Ethel (Mrs. Marvin) Burmeister of Baldwin IA & Beulah(Mrs. Everett) Shannon of Baldwin IA; 1 sister-in-law- Betty Scott of Baldwin IA; & 2 brothers-in-law- Bob Wilcox- Pinole CA & Raymond Graham- Clinton IA. She was preceded in death by her parents 1 brother- Lewis Junior Scott & 3 sisters- Lois Bock Sue Wilcox & Edith Graham.
Memorials may be directed to Camp Courageous of Iowa.
