Rob A. "Bino" Heck, 61, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away suddenly on Tuesday afternoon, November 6, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center in Clinton, Iowa.
A celebration of Rob's life will be held at 11:30 A.M., Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 P.M., Friday, November 9, 2018, at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Cremation will take place following the services.
Robin Allen Heck was born on November 16, 1956 in Clinton, Iowa, to Edward Earl and Margaret L. (Harte) Heck. He was a 1975 graduate of Clinton High School and married his high school sweetheart, Cynthia A. "Cindy" Bock on July 21, 1978 in Clinton, Iowa. To this union three sons were born, Chris, BJ and Jake.
Shortly after high school, Rob began a lifelong career as a millwright working for Clysar Company (formerly DuPont) in Clinton for over 35 years.
Rob was an active member of the Maquoketa Country Club where he had served as a past board member. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and especially spending time with his family. He was an avid sports fan of the Chicago Cubs, Iowa Hawkeyes and the Chicago Bears.
Those left to honor Rob's memory include his wife, Cindy Heck of Maquoketa, IA; sons, Chris (Erica) Heck of Earlham, IA, BJ Heck of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Jake Heck of Palm Springs, CA; 2 grandchildren, Ava and CJ (and one on the way); brothers, Patrick (Dottie) Heck of Clinton, IA, and Brian (Terri) Heck of Clear Lake, IA; a sister, Ann Edmonds of Queens Creek, AZ; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother William "Bill" Heck, and a sister Brenda Heck.
In In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorial contributions may be directed to the Autism Society of Iowa.
