Nelson Longstreet White, Jr.
June 20, 1930 - November 8, 2018

Nelson Longstreet White, Jr., 88, of Kingston, NY, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Golden Hill Nursing & Rehab Center in Kingston. He was born on June 20, 1930 in Sealston, Virginia, the son of the late Nelson L. and Catherine R. White. Nelson was predeceased by the love of his life, Anna T. White his wife of 61 years, who passed away in 2014.

He served in the United States Navy from 1947-1956. Nelson later worked for JP Morgan in Manhattan for 35 years. He had served on the Town of Ulster Planning Board, was involved in town politics, and was a member of the Republican Club. He enjoyed farming rocks, working in his yard, and watching the New York Mets.

He is survived by his children, Linda T. Besink and her husband Nicholas J.M. Besink and Deb M. Spahn, and his granddaughter, Catherine J. Castro and great-granddaughter, Francesca M. Castro. He is also survived by his brother, Ernest P. White, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his siblings, Julian H. White, Olive C. Hartmann, Catherine E. Humphries, Helen V. Lawson, and Hester M. Fines.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY, where family and friends may visit on Monday, November 12, from 3pm to 7pm. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 13, at 11am with burial following in Wiltwyck Rural Cemetery, Kingston.
