In loving memory of


November 5, 1973 - November 8, 2018

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of Davie Police Lieutenant Chad Rosen on November 8, 2018. Over the last few months Lieutenant Rosen fought a hard battle with leukemia.

Chad has been a member of the Davie Police Department since February 19, 2002. Prior to joining the Department, he worked as a Police Officer at Surfside Police Department for two and a half years and was a graduate from the Miami-Dade College Police Academy in 1999.

Lieutenant Rosen's was assigned to Alpha shift in the Road Patrol Division. He was a member of the Mobile Field Force Team, Team Leader on the Crisis Response Team, Field Training Officer Shift Supervisor; and a Department Instructor teaching CPR, AED and First Aid. Chad also shared his educational knowledge through teaching at Broward College/Institute of Public Safety Academy as a Certified First Aid Instructor and as a Law Enforcement General Topics Instructor.

His previous work assignments with the department have been as a Field Training Officer, an advisor for the Police Explorers as well as a Detective in Criminal Investigations Economic Crimes and Special Victims Unit. Chad has been the recipient of the Department's Distinguished Service Award, Five - Officer of the Month Awards, Two - Life Saving Awards and has received multiple commendations throughout his career.

Lieutenant Rosen is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer and five children, Ashley, Michael, Shea, Anthony, Zoie; and extended family. The Davie Police Department wishes to extend our sincerest condolences, thoughts and prayers to all of Chad's family.

There will be a service on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Bailey Hall - Broward College. 3501 Davie Rd., Davie FL 33314
Doors open at noon and the service begins promptly at 12:30pm.

"I remember Chad when he was in high school at Plantation High. I remember Ms Burns and I helping him with a history test he was having problems with and giving him some strategies to assist. He was a great person. Prayers to the family. Fondly, Ms V"
