Darlene Mae Spraker, 80, of West Burlington, died Saturday, November 10 at Great River Hospice House, West Burlington.
She was born September 5, 1938 in Burlington, the daughter of Reuben and Mae Watt Frank. On August 19, 1966, she married Clark E. "Corky" Spraker in Kahoka, Missouri. He preceded her in death on March 3, 2006. She was a New London High School graduate and worked at GE in Burlington for 31 ½ years. She enjoyed the Knoxville races, NASCAR racing and collecting NASCAR memorabilia, loved all animals but especially cats, and collected teddy bears.
Mrs. Spraker is survived by one son, Gentry of West Burlington, one sister, Pat (Bob) Pennebaker and nephew, Rob of Fayette, Iowa.
According to her wishes, her body has been cremated and inurnment will be held at Forest Home Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant at a later date.
