In loving memory of

Maurine Andersen
January 18, 1927 - November 16, 2018

Maurine Andersen, 91, of Hampton met her Lord and Saviour on Friday, November 16, 2018, at Franklin Country View Nursing Facility in Hampton where she resided for 2 years.

Born in Haleyville, OK, she was a southern girl in small-town Iowa. She met Al Andersen in Shawnee, Oklahoma where he was training to be a P-51 pilot during WWII. They married immediately after the war in 1945 and moved to Ames where Al went to college. From there they lived in Laurens, Pocahontas and in 1970 moved to Hampton. Maurine worked as a ward secretary at the hospital in Pocahontas and Hampton. After retirement, they were snowbirds in Phoenix for several years which they enjoyed immensely. Maurine loved to entertain family and friends with her fabulous food, sense of humor and contagious smile.

Maurine was preceded in death by her husband Al 9 months ago and her son Paul in 2005.

Maurine is survived by son Ronald Andersen of Hampton, son David Andersen (Maria) of Latimer and daughter Kristi (Scott) Everett of Latimer. She has 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
