"Although we went to HS together I didn?t know him very well then. After reconnecting on FB he embraced me as an old friend and generously shared his cheerful attitude of care & compassion. I know he was an amazing Nurse w/ his nurturing nature! I was stunned & saddened by his unexpected death. His presence will be missed by SO many, and will serve to remind us of the precious nature of each day on earth. I am confident he will rest in eternal peace. "

Michael D. Melton, 59, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Pompano Beach, FL on Thursday, November 15, 2018.
Michael was a loving and easy going guy who enjoyed working at Memorial Regional Hospital. He loved the beach as well as going home to the mountains of Virginia. He was a graduate from Stonewall Jackson High School class of 1977.
Born November 29, 1958, in Pensacola, FL he is the beloved son of Frances Melton and the late Billy Melton. He is the loving father of Kristen Melton and fiancé Patrick Postle, and Jacob Melton; brother of Ron Melton and wife Kate Melton, the late Kevin Melton and wife Stacey Melton, sister Bonnie Butler and husband Frank Butler. He is also survived by his dear granddaughter, Lindsey Postle, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may come on Sunday, November 25, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m. at Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 4650 N. Federal Highway, Lighthouse Point, FL 33064.
