"Although we went to HS together I didn?t know him very well then. After reconnecting on FB he embraced me as an old friend and generously shared his cheerful attitude of care & compassion. I know he was an amazing Nurse w/ his nurturing nature! I was stunned & saddened by his unexpected death. His presence will be missed by SO many, and will serve to remind us of the precious nature of each day on earth. I am confident he will rest in eternal peace. "

"Michael was a part of our family from the day he met Amy. He was there to help console Amy when Mum Mum passed and when Grandad passed. He accompanied her to Arlington and joined in our family laying them both to rest. He always had a smile and a happy hello whenever I say him. I am saddened that his life ended so soon. He left behind a great legacy though and some very good memories for the people who knew and loved him. I hope he says hello to mum and dad when he gets there. They thought he was the very best. From Amy's Aunt Lern, Rest in Peace Dear Michael. You will be very much missed."

"On behalf of Michaels friends here at Memorial Regional Hospital, we have truly lost someone special. He was recognized not only for his dedication to his job but also for his team spirit and fellow feeling. He touched many peoples lives with his humor, his smile, and his pats on the back with words of encouragement. He will always be remebered for his love for people. He was known for being genuinely sweet and kind. He moved and motivated the hearts of many by his humility. Michael was one in a million and will never be forgotten. "
