Robert Lee Jones age 66 of Charlotte Iowa and formerly of Maquoketa Iowa died on Tuesday morning August 232005.0 at his home in Charlotte Iowa.



Public Graveside Services and Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday August 272005.0 from the Hickory Grove Cemetery rural Maquoketa Iowa with Chaplain/Celebrant Rev. Ruth Ann Scott of Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 P.M. on Friday August 262005.0 from the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa Iowa. Cremation Rites will be accorded following the visitation.



Robert Lee Jones was born on November 18 1938 in Maquoketa Iowa to William H. Jones and Martha (Peters) Jones. He was a 1958 graduate of Maquoketa Community High School. He married Joann C. Heister on October 16 1959 in Maquoketa Iowa.



Robert had worked as a machinist for the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad in Clinton Iowa from 1972 to 1996. Prior to that he had worked at Clinton Engines in Maquoketa and then for Ralston Purina and Chemplex.



Robert enjoyed fishing camping playing the guitar and spending time with his family.



Robert is survived by: his wife- Joann Jones of Charlotte IA; children- Willie(Kathleen) Jones of Lodi CA Becky(Dwayne) Heinrich of Baldwin IA Paula(Larry) Jones-Hamann of Lost Nation IA Angie Jones of Maquoketa IA & Stacy(Chris) Ihrig of Maquoketa IA; 11 grandchildren 4 great-grandchildren; sisters- Margie Genet of Troy IN Lavonne Krueger of St. Paul MN & Marie Cody of St. Paul MN; & a brother- Arthur(Judy) Jones of Maquoketa IA. He was preceded in death by his parents 1 brother & 1 sister.



A Robert Lee Jones Memorial Fund has been established.
