Rita Dee Haley
December 18, 1944 - November 24, 2018

Rita Dee Haley, 73, of Gladstone, Illinois, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018 peacefully at the Great River Klein Center.
Born December 18, 1944 in Fort Madison, Iowa she was the daughter of Milo and Ethel (Steward) Zachmeyer. She married Kenneth Haley Jr. on September 14, 1962 in Burlington, Iowa.
Rita attended Denmark High School and later received her GED. She worked for Montgomery Ward and later Vista Bakery.
She was a cheerleader in high school and a life guard. She loved bowling, snowmobiling, motorcycle riding, camping and spending time with her family and spoiling the grandkids and great grandkids.
She and Kenny celebrated 56 years of marriage. They traveled extensively together taking wonderful trips over the years such as snowmobiling trips to Wisconsin, several motorcycle trips, Graceland and the Grand Ole Opry, California, Washington, Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri, Nevada and spent their 25th anniversary in Hawaii.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Jr.; daughters Robin (Larry) South and Kathy (Jeff) Foley; five grandchildren, Bryan, Nichole, Keven, Joe and Rebecca; seven great grandchildren, Isabella, Logan, Victor, Haley, Conor, Alex and Emma and one sister JoAnne Storch of Christianberg, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.
The funeral service for Mrs. Haley will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 30th at Lunning Chapel. The Rev. David Plooster will officiate. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the visitation.
Memorials have been established for the Alzheimer's Association or her great grandchildrens' education.

What I remember most is the love she had for her family.
