Dianne Kay Chambers, age 83, of Corwith, Iowa, passed away on the morning of Monday, November 26, 2018. She was surrounded by her family and all their love.

Dianne was born on June 30, 1935, to her parents, Edward and Mona (Schmidt) Landsberg, of Britt, Iowa. She attended Britt Schools and some post studies at both the University of Northern Iowa and Iowa State University.

On June 19, 1954, is when the adventure really began. On that day she united in marriage to Norman Chambers of Corwith, Iowa. In their first year of marriage while Norman worked for General Electric, they lived on the East Coast enjoying the beach, exploring and meeting new friends all along the way. We are thankful for this time, as this is when Dianne learned her skill for the best spaghetti and meatballs, which the family enjoyed for many years and many Christmases.

Dianne and Norman then returned to the Chambers Farm in Corwith, Iowa, in 1955. This is where Dianne's long-term career of mother and caretaker began and carried her through 2018.

Dianne and Norman are proud parents of four children, Laura Jo Chambers, Jonathan Edward Chambers, Amy Elisabeth Dornbier and Emily Ann Stevens.

Dianne truly loved her family and loved their friends and hosting. They opened their home to three exchange students, Gesa Zinn, Makoto Takarada and Chiaki Terada. All who became part of the family and consider Dianne and Norman as "Mom and Dad".

Dianne's passion was her family. She is proud of her seven grandchildren, Nathan Edward, Lauran Michele, Stefan Samuel, Sydney Jo, Ryley Elizabeth, Sofia Dianne and Sawyer Allen. She equally loved her grandpets Skippy and Cece.

When not busy with family duties, Dianne was very active with her faith and in local community activities. To name a few: Hancock County Hospital, Hancock County Little Theatre, Eastern Star, United Methodist Women, Church Choir and various CWL School activities over the decades. Dianne's hobbies included cooking hearty farm meals, baking sourdough bread and delicious pies, hosting coffee for friends and enjoying her flower gardens. For many years she decorated the Methodist Church each Sunday with flowers from her own gardens.

Together, Dianne and Norman have enjoyed making friends wherever they traveled. Travels took them across the states and various places around the world from Canada, Austria, Germany, Singapore and Japan.

Dianne loved and worried for her family with her heart and soul. And, now, she can peacefully watch over them from heaven.

Dianne is survived by her loving husband, Norman Chambers of Corwith, Iowa; her sister Martha Landsberg of Moulton, Iowa; children Jonathan (Paula) Chambers of Corwith, Iowa; Emily (Chad) Stevens of Norwalk, Iowa; seven named grandchildren, son-in-law, Derwin Dornbier, and numerous cousins and Landsberg and Chambers family members.

She is preceded in death by her daughters, Laura Jo Chambers and Amy Elisabeth Dornbier, mother and father Mona and Edward Landsberg, and mother and father-in -law, Lillian and Earl Chambers.

I know that she has not been well for some time, and I am grateful that she is now in the arms of her Savior, but I will miss her as I am sure others will.
