In loving memory of

Ben Ronald Brown
October 19, 1965 - November 28, 2018

Ben Ronald Brown, 53, of Deerfield Beach, FL, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018.
Originally from Asheville, NC, he was the son of the late Luther and Clara-Mae Brown.

Ben was an avid motorcyclist and outdoorsman. He lived his life by the motto, "if you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space." He will be remembered by his family for his charismatic story-telling, his unapologetic "telling it like it is", his love for AC/DC, his passion for adventure, but mostly, for his heart.

Ben is survived by his wife, Geetha Brown; four children, Shivan Samaraweera of Durham, NC, Ruwan Samaraweera and his wife Kasey of Fort Collins, CO, Ravin Samaraweera and his partner Monica McMichael of Durham, NC, and Tamara Donovan (nee Brown) and her husband Patrick of Jacksonville, FL; two brothers, Erik Brown and his wife Donna of Hendersonville, NC, and Rex Brown and his wife Glenda of Leicester, NC; and two grandchildren, Kanon and Peyton.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2018, at Horizon Funeral Services in Lighthouse Point, FL, with visitation from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM, and a celebration and reflection of life from 4:00 - 6:00 PM.

"I used to see Ben almost every Sunday until my work schedule changed 3 years ago, then it became twice a year, if I was lucky, that we saw each other and got to ride for a while. I'm so glad I was able to get off work the last weekend of November and take my wife out for a ride. She met Ben for the 1st time and a few of us went for a quick ride up to Sawgrass Rec.Park ... we were both devastated to hear the bad news the following Friday. We will never forget him and his "Cat got the mouse" grin of his... God Bless , RIP, Ben Brown"

"Ben was a great friend and will be missed by everyone. He loved riding bikes and we rode thousands of miles together having fun. I will never forget him. There?s not many people in your life that you can call the true friend but he was definitely one of them. One of his favorite things was right like you stole it and I?ll never forget him.
