Alice Wahle
March 5, 1945 - November 30, 2018

Alice Wahle, 73, of Carson, IA, passed away November 30, 2018 at the Red Oak Rehab and Care Center in Red Oak, IA. Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Carson. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Memorials are directed to the family and will go to the American Parkinson's Disease Association

Alice Amanda (Kraemer) Wahle was born March 5, 1945 to Emil and Olga (Hilbers) Kraemer and grew up near Hooper, NE with older sisters, Mary and Emily, and a younger brother Henry.

Alice earned a Bachelor of Science in Math from Midland Lutheran College in 1967 and became a teacher. She married Myron Wahle on April 6, 1968 and they settled down on a farm near Carson, Iowa. They raised three children, Jo, George, and Patricia.

Alice and Myron enjoyed square dancing for more than 40 years; Alice became a caller and ran multiple clubs. Alice also enjoyed sewing, volunteering, and playing cards.

Alice passed away November 30, 2018 after a long struggle with Parkinson's disease, at the age of 73 years, 8 months, and 25 days. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Mary Gall; and brother Henry Kraemer.

Alice is survived by her beloved husband Myron, who still lives on the homestead near Carson; children, Jo Wahle of Sioux Falls, SD; George Wahle of Schaumburg, IL; and Patricia Wahle of Chicago, IL; sister Emily Laaker of Bennington, NE; and other relatives and friends.
