"Our condolences to the DeArmoun Family. We were neighbors of Darl and his parents. On my first day of school in the Fall of 1949, Darl came over and sort of drug me on the bus because I was scared and reluctant to go. After we got to Dumont, he showed me where my first grade room was. After we moved to Aplington, I never seen him much but never forgot him but I did see once in Mabel's restaurant a couple years ago. Memories, now from Marion, Iowa "
