Kyle Lee Briggs, 24, of Denver, IA, passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 in a car accident near Pocahontas. He was born June 2, 1994, in Algona, Iowa, the son of Lori Briggs. He grew up in Humboldt and graduated from Humboldt High School in 2013.
After his schooling he worked several different jobs including the Humboldt County Dragway, putting up hog confinements, and driving truck for a medical supply company.
Kyle enjoyed working at the Humboldt County Dragway, hanging out with friends and family, helping others, and doing favors for others. He loved his cat, Shadow.
Kyle is survived by his mom, Lori Briggs of Denver, IA; brother, Larry (Alyssa) Briggs of Cedar Rapids; two nieces, Ellie and Callie Briggs of Cedar Rapids; uncles, Terry (Vicki) Briggs of Burt, Timothy (Linda) Briggs of Donna, TX, and Dale Briggs of Burt; aunt, Connie Ann (Bob) Lappe of Algona; half siblings, Celeste Ortiz, Celena Ortiz, Jesse Ortiz, and Jessica Ortiz; and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dean and Annabell Briggs; uncle, Larry Briggs, and cousins, Cory Briggs and Keith Briggs.
