John Allen Paulson
January 1, 1933 - December 12, 2018

John A. Paulson, 85, passed away peacefully December 12, 2018. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marlys, by his children, Erik, Ann (Dale), Beth (Dan), and Craig (Carolyn), by his grandchildren, Jillian, Stefanie (Elric), Dan, Griffin, and Grace, by his great-grandchildren, James and Rhett, and by his nephews Mathew, Steven, and Carl.
Born and raised in Minneapolis, John studied aeronautical engineering at the University of Minnesota, earning both a Bachelor and a Master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He served in the Air Force Reserve, stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, eventually reaching the rank of Captain. His love for flight propelled him through 37 years at the Boeing Company, where he specialized in low speed aerodynamics. John enjoyed bird watching, hiking, camping, skiing, classical music, traveling, and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was active in his church, singing in the choir, working with the Boy Scouts, and serving on many leadership positions at Cross of Christ Lutheran.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cross of Christ Lutheran Church of Bellevue, music fund.
