Renee E. Lewis
September 2, 1961 - December 28, 2018

Renee Elaine Lewis, 57, of Keokuk, passed away at 10:30 PM Friday, December 28, 2018, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Renee was born September 2, 1961, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Richard and Joan Jeffers Sanders. She had lived in Keokuk since 1992, moving here from Smackover, Arkansas. She had been employed by Trellex Morse, Morse Rubber, and then Henniges Automotive, until illness forced retirement. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and being involved in their activities.
She is survived by daughter, Raneka Sanders of Keokuk, 4 sons, Craig Lewis of Aurora, Colorado, Dantez Lewis (fiancé Amy Smith) of Keokuk, Bryan Lewis of Quincy, Illinois, and Brandon Lewis of Keokuk; special friend Charisse Harris; her mother Joan Sanders of Keokuk; and twenty-four grandchildren. She is also survived by sister and brothers, Rebecca Sanders of Arizona, Richard Sanders of Minnesota, Roderic (Christa) Sanders of Indianapolis, Indiana, Randall Sanders of Des Moines, Iowa, Ryan Sanders of Keokuk, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
A celebration of her life will be at 1:00 PM Friday, January 4, 2019, at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life center at 917 Blondeau Street. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the services begin at 1:00 PM.
