Francesco Colella, 85, Berkeley Township, died Sunday, December 30, 2018, at his home.
Born in San Benedetto, Italy, he resided in Brooklyn, before moving to Toms River.
An Auto Mechanic by trade, he owned and operated United Auto Co. for 45 years, retiring in 1996.
He was a communicant of St. Maximilian Kolbe Church.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Concetta, who died in 1987.
He is survived by his 4 children, Benedetto (Irene) Colella, East Windsor, NJ, Angela (Roy) Panos, Manalapan, N.J., Felice Colella, Toms River and Carmine (Jeanette) Colella, Delray Beach, Fla. He is also survived by his brother, Domenico Colella , 7 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 1-4 and 7-9 at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 10:30 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe, followed by an entombment at St. John's Cemetery, 80-01 Metropolitan Avenue, Middle Village, Queens NY.
