In loving memory of

Mary L. Rognrud
August 8, 1921 - January 3, 2019

Mary Louise Rognrud was born on August 8, 1921 to Grace (LaFont) and Adolph Abreu. She spent her early year in San Antonio, TX. Mary later moved with her mother and brother to St. Paul, Minnesota, where she met and married Roger T. Rognrud. They had one son, Roger R. Rognrud, formerly of Madison, WI.
Mary lived for over 50 years in a home she loved in St. Louis Park, MN. She had strong connections with her neighbors and her neighborhood. She was active in community events and volunteered at the Lennox Community Center, where she had many friends.

Mary was very gregarious and particularly loved to sing and dance. She was always up for new experiences and looked for the good in people and the fun in any new activity. She was known as the "pink lady" because of her love of the color pink.

In her last years, Mary moved to an assisted living facility in Waunakee, WI where she was surrounded by her family. She was a mother-in-law, a grandma of seven, a great-grandma of eight- something she was very proud of.

Mary passed away peacefully at the University of Wisconsin Hospital on January 3, 2019. She will be fondly remembered by her family and friends who admired her for her spirit and zest for life.

The family would like to thank the staff at Sylvan Crossings in Westshire Village for their exceptional care during Mary's last years.

Private services will be held.
