Mark Roy Vanderhoff Jr.
February 9, 1980 - December 29, 2018

Mark R. Vanderhoff, Jr., age 38, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, due to complications from a recent illness. Mark was born on February 9, 1980, in Titusville, Pennsylvania to Dolly (King) Vanderhoff and Mark Vanderhoff, Sr., he graduated from Union City High School in Union City, Pennsylvania in 1999, and enlisted in the Army immediately thereafter. During that time, he was assigned to Fort Gordon, Georgia, where he met the love of his life, Kelly Nagel. They were wed on November 24, 2000, and shared many adventures over the past 18 years.

After his time in Georgia, Mark was then stationed at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. Mark's service included deployment to Iraq and Kuwait in the Gulf War. After separating from the Army, Mark and Kelly relocated to Fitchburg, Wisconsin, where they lived for the past 14 years. Mark was employed by Wisconsin Physicians Services since 2005, where he made many close friends. Mark is known for his wit, mischievous sense of humor, kindness, and love of games.

Mark is survived by many loving family members including his wife Kelly; maternal grandparents, Betty and Floyd King; father, Mark Sr. (Dorothy) Vanderhoff; mother, Dolly (King) Vanderhoff; siblings, Amanda (Terry) Pressette, Farrah Johnston, David Vanderhoff, and Amy (Robert McCauley) Vanderhoff; along with many nieces and nephews. Mark is preceded in death by paternal grandparents Leon and Thelma Vanderhoff.

Mark was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. A memorial gathering will be held 4:00 - 7:00PM Friday, January 11, 2019, at the WYNDHAM GARDEN CONFERENCE HALL, 5421 Caddis Bend, Fitchburg, Wisconsin 53713. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family will be greatly appreciated.
