Ricky Gordon Smith
May 8, 1967 - December 30, 2018

Ricky Gordon Smith, 51, passed away in Everett, Washington on December 30, 2018. He was born in Seattle, Washington on May 8, 1967. He was a loved husband and father, and he will be dearly missed. He is remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, his grilling, putting on a huge spread for the football dinners of smoked pork and smoked beef at the high school and for always putting his family first. Rick very much enjoyed our Sunday breakfast tradition with his family. He enjoyed a 30 year career as a truck driver, and in his spare time loved fishing with his boys and his good friend Rich, and family. He was always here to help those who needed him. He provided a home for Anthony who became a part of our family instantly.
He is survived by his wife Dawn Hockman-Smith of 21 years, and his long time friend Desiree Fire, his children Michel Fire, Brian Smith, and two step daughters, Angelina and JessiAnn and 5 grandchildren, his siblings Tammie Hattery, her husband Martin, their boys Mitch his wife Britney and son, Josh his wife Jennifer and two daughters, Nick his wife Kelly and their two boys, Adam his wife Maria and their son and daughter & Randy Smith , as well as many other friends and relatives. A graveside service will be held for him on Saturday January 12, 2019 at 2:00pm at Abbey View Cemetery, 3601 Alaska Rd. Brier, WA 98036. A gathering will be held after the burial at Olympia Pizza & Pasta, 17324 Smokey Point Drive, Arlington, WA 98223, all are welcome to join the family.
