"I got to know Ray when he and Virginia started at North Hill School in the 4th grade. Ray and his close friend, Jack Williams, were the leaders of our football and basketball teams and they continued that through high school. I always enjoyed keeping in touch with Ray at our high school reunions and relive old memories. He will be greatly missed. My sympathy to Ray's family and to Virginia. John Koelling, Eugene, Oregon"
