Clifford R. Gliem, age 69, of Story City, Iowa died January 12, 2019 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. A gathering of friends and family will be from 4:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. with a celebration of life to follow at 6:00p.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, 414 Lincoln Way, Ames, Iowa.
Cliff was born February 11, 1949 in Boone, Iowa the son of Dwight and June Gliem. He graduated from Boone High School and trained as a machinist. He worked at Donnelley Publishing for several years as a Mechanical Machinist. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Linda his three children, Dwight Gliem, Joellen Gliem, and Shannon Foreman. Step children, Dennis Marshall and Lori Marshall, nine grandchildren, two sisters, Bev Reilly and Betty Baltzley, and Cliff's former wife, Diana Strickland.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Israel Family Hospice House.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
