Kurt Allen Meyer, age 65, of Whiting died on Monday, January 21, 2019 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Morristown, he lived in Livingston until 1977. He later lived in North Arlington, NJ and in Bushkill, PA, returning to Livingston in 1994. He settled in Whiting in 2016.
Mr. Meyer was a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Bloomfield College, receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He enjoyed fishing, and his family ran the Newark Sinker Co. He was a taxi driver for Livingston Taxi for about fifteen years until he retired to Whiting.
He is survived by his wife, Elysa (nee Wrigley); two children, Evan and Erika; a grandson, Charles; and a brother, Gary Meyer of Nevada.
Services were private under the direction of Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. A Celebration of Life service will be held from 3-5pm on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the funeral home.
