Milton E. "Milt" Kyarsgaard
July 22, 1929 - January 23, 2019

Milton E. "Milt" Kyarsgaard, 89, of Delmar, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday evening, January 23, 2019, under the care of Hospice of Jackson County at Crestridge Nursing Home in Maquoketa, Iowa.

A celebration of Milt's life will be held at 1:30 P.M., Monday, January 28, 2019, at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Burial will be at the Mount Hope Cemetery, Maquoketa, Iowa.

Milton Eugene Kyarsgaard was born on July 22, 1929 in Sabula, Iowa, to John and Alice (Everson) Kyarsgaard. He grew up in Sabula, Miles and Welton and attended Elwood High School. He married Mavis Joan Easton on March 27, 1949 in Maquoketa, Iowa. She preceded him in death on June 3, 2007.
"Milt" first farmed and then worked at Clinton Engines in Maquoketa. From 1962 to 1985 he worked at Caterpillar in Mt. Joy doing work standards and time study. He retired after 23 years of service.

"Milt" was a member of the Eagles Club in Maquoketa. He enjoyed golfing, camping, snowmobiling, bowling and taking yearly trips with Mavis to Florida.

Those left to honor his memory include his sons, Dennis (LaVerle) Kyarsgaard of Sterling, IL, and Jeff (Debbie) Kyarsgaard of Delmar, IA; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and 3 brothers Ronald, Victor and Dean.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, Milton E. "Milt" Kyarsgaard memorial fund has been established.
