John L. Sorenson, age 72, of Ames, Iowa, died Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Accura Healthcare in Ames.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 28, 2019, at Accura Healthcare of Ames, 3440 Grand Avenue in Ames. Condolences may be expressed online at www.amesmonument.com.
John Louis Sorenson was born July 26, 1946, in Nevada, Iowa, the son of Louis and Sarah (Levin) Sorenson. He received his education in Nevada and was an avid Iowa Cubs baseball fan. Most recently, he made his home at Accura Healthcare in Ames.
Survivors include his sister, Mary (Steve) Nerness of Tama. He was preceded in death by his parents and a half-brother, Bill Farrington.
Ames Monument & Cremation Center has been entrusted with the care of John and his family.
