"I was so saddened by the news of Mrs. Carrell's passing. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to write her several years ago and thank her for everything she did for me as a student. In the letter, I told her she was one of the reasons I went into education spending 28 years as a teacher and administrator. I know she has left me with some wonderful memories, like singing "The Red Red Robin" and I know she has left all of the family with many more beautiful memories. God Bless all of you."
