Clark D. Crouse
February 25, 1927 - January 25, 2019

CLARK CROUSE
MUSCATINE, Iowa - Clark D. Crouse, 91, of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019, at Lutheran Living Senior Campus.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. There will be no visitation and the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church or the American Diabetes Association for camp scholarships.

Clark was born on February 25, 1927, in Albion, the son of Carl and Bessie Mae Pritchard Crouse. He married Pat L. Toyne on December 5, 1953, in Muscatine.

He was a veteran of the US Army having served during World War II.

He was a civil engineer and had worked for Stanley Consultants retiring in 1992, and later worked part time at Stanley's.

He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church where he sang in the church choir. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge and sang with the Elks Chanters.

Clark enjoyed playing golf. He enjoyed traveling and was active his daughters' activities.

Clark and Pat lived in Phoenix for one year while working for Stanley Consultants.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Pat Crouse of Muscatine; two daughters, Julie Crouse Doohan and husband, Mike, of Golden, Colorado, and Jill Crouse of Iowa City; and one sister, Sara Beth McComas of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Verl Crouse.

"I am sorry to hear of Clark?s passing and living out of town I just became aware of I it. I worked with Clark for a long tome at Stanley?s and their was no finer engineer and mentor. He was an inspiration to all who passed through the Transportation Design Department. He taught us all the right way to design, and prepare construction plans and treat clients. My sincere sympathy to you Pat and your f.amily. He meant a lot to me and those who served with him"
