In loving memory of

Sonora Rose Ricklefs
August 26, 1993 - January 25, 2019

Sonora Rose Ricklefs was born August 26, 1993. She was born with two very rare birth defects that affected her heart and lungs. She was given only an 11% chance to live. Sonora was a fighter all the way until the end. She lost her battle to congestive heart failure and pulmonary hypertension on January 25, 2019.
Sonora attended elementary school in Fort Dodge, Iowa and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She finished middle school and high school in Sioux Falls and graduated early on the honor role.
Sonora moved back to Fort Dodge with her family in 2012. She mainly worked in the day care field. She dearly loved all children. Sonora was a beautiful soul. She was always a friend to anyone that needed one. She had a love for animals, music, cooking and reading. Sonora could almost always be seen with a smile on her face.
She is survived by her mother, Kristie Allen and fiancé, Kelvin Tyler; father, Michael Rutledge and wife, Gina; sister, Dyshantea Ricklefs; brothers, Torionno Allen; Tru Allen; niece, Kamiah Mosley-Green; grandparents, Duane and Glenda Ricklefs; auntie, DeAnn and uncle Gary Paul; three cousins; great-grandmother, Dorothy Ricklefs and her beloved dog, Lizabeth.
Sonora was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. She touched the lives of so many. Rest in peace and fly high, Bird!
